She is an young filmmaker and Author who writes stories for inner city kids. Growing up, Deztinee loved reading, especially urban novels that related to what she saw on a daily basis. Raised in Sunnyside, Houston Texas, Deztinee was no stranger to the fast life that tore on the lives of the people within her community. Despite the struggles, danger and chaos that surrounded her, Deztinee was drawn more to the vibrant energy of her community. Unlike what the media portrays as ghetto and ratchet, Deztinee saw life when looking at the colorful graffiti on the walls of abandoned buildings.
